AMC is down 25% today and Gamestop is down 31%... is it over or just a hiccup?

34 halts today between AMC and GME. I'm so glad the SEC is there to protect retail investors. With friends like them, who needs enemies??

Ohhh, I hope this is the beginning of the end for all those hedge funds who have been heavily naked shorting our "free" stock market. Both of my AMC and GME are flying. Meme stock season and Roaring Kitty is back. It's going to be a good day/week.

Anti, without Trump's cult, his stock wouldn't exist by now.
You're absolutely right! We all know that this is nothing but criminal money. But there's nothing we can do about it, so might as well get in on the action while we can!
Better sale it now...I can't imagine what it'll do when trump starts being found guilty for his crimes. As expected, 3 of Trump's 4 criminal trials are delayed indefinitely, in part thanks to the help of his hand-selected Supreme Court...
In the end, none of it really matters. No one cared about him committing sexual assault, even against children. Nobody cared when he raped a woman. And nobody cares about him committing fraud. He could be convicted of every bit of it and it just wouldn't matter.
So I'm going to ride this gravy train until September, and cash out just before Trump does.

Anti, without Trump's cult, his stock wouldn't exist by now. One projection I saw guesstimates the value to drop to $2. With participation in decline and investors losing interest, the only thing left is described as a "bubble." Soon to pop.

If you had bought in when it bottomed out at $22.84, you would have more than doubled your money in 3 weeks...

That's probably a good idea. Stocks and crypto had me looking at my accounts like😱 all week.

This has been a bad week for my portfolio, it's dropped almost 10% this week!! The big surprise is still the marijuana ETF... after the news came out about the DEA reclassifying it I thought it would skyrocket! But no, it's down today, too.
DJT is still going strong, at least that was a good move. But now I'm thinking... since Trump can cash out on September 25, I might sell on September 20 instead of November.

Omg... if I could kick my own arse, I would. I will never buy options again. I'm losing all my $$$ on those HYMC calls. I knew it was a gamble. You win some, you lose some. 😭

Most people of "means" like Anti, you would think would be against giving 44% of their massive wealth to the government
This has nothing to do with the topic, and I'll never understand how you think you can make fun of me for making wise financial decisions You've had plenty of chances to just listen to me and make money, it's not my fault that you don't.
I've also made no comments on the 2025 tax plan, so I don't know you're implying that I've said anything about supporting it.
Regardless, right now a short term capital gain is taxes as ordinary income, ranging from 10% to 37%. Long term capital gains are taxed at 0%, 15%, or 20%.
Best I can tell, the plan is to raise that top rate by 1.2 points. It only apply to people with an income over $1 million and an investment income over $400,000.
My retirement plan is to have a portfolio worth over $1 million, and then I can comfortably pay myself about $100,000 a year for the rest of my life. My tax rate on that would be 15%... compared to the 24% tax rate if you make $100,000 from a job.
I'm not going to complain about a 40% reduction in taxes...
I plan to sell the DJT stock before the election, though, so if it makes money it will be a short term gain... so higher taxes. But if I invest $10,000 in something, sell it for $100,000, and pay $20,000 in taxes for it, I still pocketed $70,000...

f*xxy, you will never understand how some people are willing to give up some of their wealth for the benefit of the not so well off. You have a disease that prevents you from doing so it's called SELFISHNESS!

If that were true then you should have been able to prove it by now. But neither you nor your ilk have ever been able to show a single lie that I've ever said on here.
And I showed you a screenshot on April 12... second page of this very thread.
Which proves that I'm not a liar, you're just... well, a fool and a troll.

Trump's not in the habit of listening to advice, but he must have heeded P.T. Barnum albeit posthumously. "There's a sucker born every minute."
